No, I’m not discussing orientation…I’m talking about the joys of double ended dildos.  Many people don’t realize the leaps and strides the double ended dildo has made in the past few years.  No long are we confined to a straight stick o’ jelly when we wanted to bang one another.  Au contraire! We can now use a variety of double ended dildos, and Shazam and I have brought them all into one place, and we explain a little about each of them, and the different types.  Plus, we’re cute, so you know you want to watch us :)

Ever wonder if those bachelor(ette) party gifts are really worth it?  Ever question whether those gag gifts might actually make you gag?

Never fear!  Shazam and myself have tried out a few favorites and a few flops, to let you know which ones are worth getting, and which ones are just worth laughing at.

Plus I make Shazam wear a full body condom.  Kind of.  Can’t beat it!

One of our reviewers, Devil Blue Dress, brought this site, to our attention.  It is rent-a-dildo.com, and purports to rent out sex toys to people who sign up (kind of like NetFlix, but with sex toys).

However, their sex toys are NOT silicone, glass, metal, or porcelain.  These 4 materials are the only four materials that can be truly sterilized (dishwasher top shelf no soap, boiling them for 3 minutes, or wiping them down with a 10% bleach solution).  All other materials have some level of porosity (being porous), and can hold onto bacteria, STIs, etc.  The site says they have some magical patented cleaning process, but they don’t explain it, and they don’t let users use their toys anally, because of fecal born diseases…which means that their toys CANNOT actually be sterilized, if even they recognize that their process may not protect people from anally transmitted bacteria.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do not share sex toys (rented online or otherwise) with anyone unless you use a condom with them, or sterilize them.  You can pass on all kinds of nastyness to (or get it from) your partner(s).  We at Eden want you to be safe.

Thanks Devil for the info!

A week or two back, I went up to NY to see Molly Crabapple’s new show at Arena Studios, which is curated by Audacia Ray. Audacia gave us the 411 about Arena Studios, and then I was lucky enough to score an interview with Ms. Crabapple herself. Check it out!

Hey reviewers, readers, and all you rocking people!

One of my classmates is working on her dissertation, and is doing it on straight identified females who decided to abstain from intercourse until marriage.  She’s having a lot of trouble finding people to interview, so I told her I’d help her out.  She’s super nice, and I think will do an excellent job with this.  Below is all the info on her study.

Please contact her using the info below; I have no more info personally.  Feel free to repost or send onto friends :)

Hi,
I’m asking for some help with my dissertation. I am looking to interview women
who abstained from intercourse until they were married.

I’m a graduate student working on a doctorate in clinical psychology and a
master’s in human sexuality at Widener University, which is outside of
Philadelphia.  I spent a year doing sex and relationship therapy at the
Institute for Sex Therapy (part of Council for Relationships) here in
Philadelphia.  Since college I’ve been interested in female sexuality and it’s
been the focus of almost all my research as a student.  So that’s where this
dissertation comes in– women who abstain from intercourse until marriage are
in a minority (albeit a significant one!) of women who chose to abstain until
marriage.  There is NO research on women like you!  So I want to fill that
hole.  I want to know how you think about sexuality, what it was like for you
to choose to abstain and follow through on that decision, what it was like to
get married and start being sexual with your husband.  I will be doing
interviews, either in person or on the phone.  If you are interested in seeing
my approved application for research, I would be happy to send it.  Before I
do any interviews, I need informed consent anyway. Everything will be done
anonymously and confidentially; your name and identity will not be linked with
your responses in any way.

To get in touch and participate, please email me at rebecca.whitten@gmail.com
Thanks!
Rebecca

Hey all -

It’s a week behind the times, but here is an interview I got to have with the amazing Burlesque Dancer known as Gal Friday. I caught up with her at Dr. Sketchy’s event in NYC, and asked her how she got started, and what she truly loves about the art of Burlesque. And yeah, she’s pretty hot, sassy, beautiful, you name it. I bet you wish you were me. Or those tassles.

Enjoy!

So for all of y’all who were unaware, up until a few days ago, it was completely and utterly illegal to buy or sell vibrators (or other sex toys) in the great state of Texas.

Here’s the skinny:

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, ruling in a case originally filed in federal court in Austin, found that the ban in the Texas penal code on selling or promoting obscene devices violates the right to privacy under the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. “Whatever one might think or believe about the use of these devices, government interference with their personal and private use violates the Constitution,” said the opinion in the case considered by a three-judge panel of the New Orleans-based court.

The opinion relied heavily on the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2003 decision in Lawrence and Garner v. Texas, which struck down a Texas law prohibiting private consensual sex among members of the same sex. That case established a broad constitutional right to sexual privacy.

As a native Coloradan, I never even knew about the CO law anti-vibes, but apparently it was struck down relatively recently…and a few more states have similar laws still on the books.  So it seems this is one small step for sex toys, but there are several more to be taken.

Hey all!

So I’ve decided to go out and about into the real world, and let y’all know what is going on in the fabulous world of sexuality. I was lucky enough to catch up with Ms. Jamye Waxman last Thursday in Philly, where she was giving a reading of her new book “Getting Off.” She was kind enough to give me a few minutes to pick her brain (she happens to have the very degree for which I am going to classes every weekend!) about masturbation, ethical pornography, and so much more! Check out our interview below, and read more about Jamye (including her blog) at www.jamyewaxman.com.

Signing off (and “getting off!”),

We have a brand new super fantabulous lady on staff; Shazam!

To welcome her to the program, we made a lovely blog about the upcoming day of Feb 14th. Whether you celebrate it as Valentine’s Day or Singles Awareness Day, there are plenty of super toys at to help you out in your time of affection…plus, I’m wearing handcuffs and get smacked around a little with a heart shaped crop. Really, does it get any better than that?
